Using Steddi

Steddi is a personal finance application that helps you track spending, manage budgets, and gain insights into your financial habits. You must be at least 13 years old and provide accurate account information to use the service.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

Free and paid plans

Steddi offers a free plan with core features and a paid Pro plan with additional capabilities. Pricing details are available on our pricing page and may be updated from time to time.

If you subscribe to the Pro plan, you authorize us to charge the payment method on file at the start of each billing cycle. You may cancel your subscription at any time, and you will retain access to Pro features through the end of your current billing period.

We reserve the right to change our pricing. Existing subscribers will be notified at least 30 days before any price increase takes effect.

Your data

You retain full ownership of any data you enter or import into Steddi, including transactions, budgets, and categories. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your content.

You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your data as necessary to provide the service. This license ends when you delete your data or your account.

Bank connections

Bank account linking is provided through Plaid Inc. When you connect a bank account, you authorize Plaid to retrieve your financial information on our behalf using read-only access. We never receive your bank login credentials, and we cannot initiate transactions or move money from your accounts.

You can disconnect any linked bank account at any time from the settings page. Once disconnected, we will no longer receive new data from that institution.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Steddi for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
• Interfere with or disrupt the service, servers, or networks connected to Steddi
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the application
• Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the service

We may suspend or terminate your account if we believe you have violated these Terms.

Disclaimers

Steddi is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

Steddi is a budgeting and tracking tool. It does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. You should consult a qualified professional for financial guidance.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Steddi and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service.

Our total liability for any claim related to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or $50, whichever is greater.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of Steddi after the updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the changes.

Termination

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon deletion, we will remove your data from our active systems, though some information may be retained in backups for a limited period.

We may terminate or suspend your access if you violate these Terms or if required by law. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before any termination.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Steddi operates, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
